Significant Challenge: Opening a store in 2007 during a recession and in Oakland was my biggest challenge. It worked out well. |
Significant Mistake/Regret: One year, I had about 8-9 people on payroll. I grew quickly and thought I needed that kind of staffing. Turned out, I didn’t. |
Significant Accomplishment: Opening my store, McMullen, watching it grow and being able to be a part of a community of women business owners in Oakland.

Biggest Strength(s): Juggling it all- buying, finance, marketing, selling. I work in 4 seasons at one time. I have to live 3-6 months out. |
Biggest Weakness(es): When I achieve a goal, sometimes I don’t sit to enjoy it. I’m on to the next goal. |
Career Advice: Do only what you love in life. Anything else is a waste of time. |

Significant Challenge: Running my first marathon in 2005. |
Significant Accomplishment: I just gave birth to a precious baby boy. By far, the biggest personal accomplishment.
