Balinton’s professional experience in fundraising, negotiating, operating and managing, creating/implementing programs and services.
What achievement or position are you most known for? Being the Executive Director for the African American Community Service Agency (AACSA) and active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Current Big Project: AACSA Technology Hub – STEM for youth and seniors.

Significant Challenge: Unifying multifaceted Black community here in the Silicon Valley. Gaining access and financial support. Hiring staff for multiple roles. Advocating for multiple issues. Saying No.
Significant Mistake/Regret: Focusing on one task. Letting adversity teach others life lessons without trying to save everyone. Getting request and promises in writing from companies and clients.
Significant Accomplishment: Living Legends Award, Caesar Chavez Community Action Center, SJSU; Golden Rule International award; Completing the renovation – Technology Hub made possible by Intel Corp.
Biggest Strength(s): Public speaking. Planning events and programs. Unifying the community. Increasing organizations visibility and viability. Motivating people.
Biggest Weakness(es): Saying yes too much. Over working and over thinking.
Career Advice: Learn to be still when overloaded with task. Get it in writing. Take risk. Have fun. Pray in all things. Give it all you got.

Significant Accomplishment: Keeping my commitment to young and seniors here in the community.
Life Advice: You can’t do it all. Push your limits. Keep the faith and have a spiritual connection with a higher power. Believe in humanity.
