What it does and what I do: We provide professional development programs, support educational advancement and promote economic empowerment in the San Francisco Bay Area; I oversee all of the chapter activities/initiatives.
Current Big Project: 10th Annual Economic Summit + Fall Networking Mixer (annual events); developing a series of financial workshops (topics ranging from real estate, credit, budgeting, investments, insurance, retirement, etc.)
Staffing/Resource Needs: Need volunteers for various ad-hoc projects and those that need to log volunteer hours through their employer. Also, volunteers (from the financial services arena) who may consider becoming a member in the future.

Significant Challenge: Helping people open up and get real about financial planning. It’s still a taboo subject and that must change or else people will keep struggling.
Significant Mistake/Regret: Not asking for help quicker + identifying a suitable mentor earlier in my career.
Significant Accomplishment: Passing my (4) FINRA securities licensing exams.
Biggest Strength(s): My public speaking abilities, relationship building (networking) skills.
Biggest Weakness(es): My delegation skills.
Career Advice: Set unrealistic goals because it will force you to get our of your comfort zone.

Significant Challenge: Remaining disciplined when it comes to my time management skills.
