Pink Access Foundation hosted their 5th Pink Access and Lavender Too event at Pican Restaurant in Oakland. The events are a celebration of survivorship and those impacted by cancer. This year Pink Access and Lavender Live added a twist, celebrity bartenders serving up for the worthy cause. Celebrity Bartenders were hometown favorites: Nikki Thomas, Kimmie Taylor and Gerry Dove of KBLX, KTVU Sportscaster Joe Fonzi, Sports Agent Aaron Goodwin, GRAMMY Winner D’Wayne Wiggins, and Honorables- London Breed and Lynette McElhaney. #PinkandLav events began in 2009 and have raised funds to support organizations providing services to cancer survivors such as Carrie’s TOUCH, Blackstone Street Foundation, True Vine Health and Wellness Ministry, and Women’s Cancer Resource Center.

Shonda Scott is the Founder of Pink Access Foundation. Scott founded the Pink Access Foundation in memory of her cousin and best friend who lost her battle to cancer when they were 29. Pink Access Foundation is a nonprofit that uses creative, unique events to raise funds (and awareness) to support organizations providing services to cancer survivors.
