Hundreds of Bay Area tech and diversity professionals came together on Thursday, May 17 to celebrate game changers in tech at the 2nd Annual Fairness Matters: Impact Awards hosted by the Kapor Center. The event benefited SMASH, the signature STEM education program of the Kapor Center.

Activist and Actor, Jesse Williams left the guests inspired and motivated to get involved in making an impact in their respective communities. The Impact Award awardees honored tech trailblazers who continue to work to advance access to the tech sector by challenging diversity and inclusion practices to close gaps in the tech industry. Honorees included: Monica Ann Arrambide, Idalin Bobé, Claire Shorall, Justin Steele. The evening was hosted by the talented KTVU Anchor, Alyana Gomez.
