Stand up comedian / TV actor Don Reed served as this year’s Master of Ceremonies, and was joined by featured speaker TV/Film star Morris Chestnut, and the following 2019 awards recipients.

Community Service Award – Organization: Building Opportunities for Self Sufficiency (BOSS)
Community Service Award – Corporate: Coca Cola
Community Service Award – Individual: Brian Shaw

The Bay Area Chapter of 100 Black Men was established 31 years ago with the intention of improving the quality of life for African-Americans in the San Francisco Bay Area. With the support from individuals, businesses and corporate entities from throughout the Bay Area, the organization has been able meet its goals of making a powerful impact in underserved communities.

The 100 Black Men of the Bay Area, Inc. is proud to be recognized as one of the preeminent African-American organizations focused on improving the quality of life for African Americans. The organization’s impressive membership ranks reads like a “Who’s Who” of Bay Area men, and is comprised of prominent doctors, business owners, educators, media personalities and politicians. The group has a deep commitment to the community, and it focuses on five primary areas: Educational Scholarships, Youth Mentoring, Leadership Development, Health and Wellness and Economic Development.
