heREGISTRYBayArea.com and Top Ten Social successfully partnered for the first in a series of after-work happy hours, satisfying an unmet need for an intentional gathering of local professionals, artists and entrepreneurs. Titled “UN/WORK Third Thursdays,” the new summer series provides a convenient location (Impact Hub Oakland) in a relaxed environment (lounge furniture, cocktails and great music) for socializing, networking or just relaxing. The key here, i.e. “un/work,” is that people can mix it up with others from different sectors, in a relaxed manner, without feeling like they’re “at work,” while perhaps achieving good work (networking)…if desired.
Overall this was a good first time experience with a great mix of people. We’re happy to develop new alternatives for supportive audiences. There appears to be a place in the market for this, and we’ll pursue it as long as the demand exists. – MichaelD., theREGISTRYBayArea.com
Our abundance of resource and creativity couldn’t have been any more visible at the launch of UN/WORK Third Thursdays. We’re building together. – Michael Orange, Top Ten Social
The duo, MichaelD and Orange, take participant satisfaction very seriously, following up the event with an attendee survey. In this case, 75% of the survey respondents gave an overall event rating of very good or excellent. Not bad for a first time event, but still short of the 100% rating they strive for. Originally conceived as an unstructured mixer, they’re working on changes to incorporate a more structured networking environment in another area of the venue. Other possible additions include vendor tables, food trucks and or light appetizers, and a custom online “connections” netowrk. Wanna participate? Email them>>
The next “UN/WORK Third Thursdays” is scheduled for September 18.

You are doing a fabulous job at not only promoting local events, but mating “culture” to produce positive outcomes.
