MoAD showcases the art, literature, dance, music… the enormous wealth of cultural treasure that exists thanks to the dispersal of Africans throughout the world.

Visit this unique, one-of-a-kind museum and you’ll understand we are all from the same place — and that place is Africa. As the museum’s executive director, Grace C. Stanislaus told TBR’s Jan Mabry, “When we acknowledge that Africa is a source, when we acknowledge that our ancestral history started there, it means there are barriers and boundaries that automatically come down… we share a common ancestry and a common humanity, and that can only be a good thing.”
