The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Oakland – Bay Area Chapter’s (NCBW-OBAC) mission is committed to providing programs that increase the participation of African American women in economic, civic, entrepreneurial, and human service arenas of their respective communities through education, scholarship, and collaboration. The popular annual luncheon, now in its 16th year, is held in support of the Chapter’s Positive Steps Leadership Mentoring Program and scholarships.

Positive Steps is a mentoring program which provides young women ages 12-17, the opportunity to recognize their full potential through the introduction of educational, developmental & cultural programs, focusing in the areas of health, wellness, careers, leadership and personal development including cultural awareness.
