On Thursday, May 18th, Imprint.City had the privilege of bringing KALW’s Kamau Right Now! live show to the Bayview Opera House.

Imprint City executive director Tyra Fennell, met the show’s producer Phil Sirkus after the organization hosted Van Jones last year on Egbert Avenue and over the year have been brainstorming ways to bring Kamau’s show to the Bayview. It is with great pleasure to report that the Bayview Opera House welcomed 300 audience members to the neighborhood. The event was also support by delicious bites from local merchants, Old Skool Cafe and All Good Pizza. A great night of conversation with guests comedian Natasha Muse, activist Cat Brooks, and cultural critic & hip hop scholar Jeff Chang. Plus, live music from Southside Festival performers, Mino Yanci.
