February 27 – March 1, 2015

“Before It Hits Home” by Cheryl L. West, directed by Buddy Butler, is an award-winning and provocative play on the impact of AIDS on one family. This complex and thought-provoking play explores the effect of AIDS on one young man, his lovers, and his family. It is often times raw and candid, and it is ultimately about conditional and unconditional love. Since the time this play was written in 1989, there have been tremendous advances in the treatment of HIV/AIDS; however, the play still sounds a wake-up call for prevention, awareness, education, and the need to get tested! This play includes mature themes and strong language.
