The Class of 2015 officially launched, and for the first time in the organization’s history, Emerge California created two distinct cohorts – The Northern California program and the Southern California program. Emerge California is the premier training program for Democratic women.

The Northern California Cohort includes: Gayle Akins (Oakland), Olga Bolotina (Oakland), Chandra Brooks (San Jose), Veronica Canton (San Francisco), Amyra Cobb-Hampton (Oakland), Thida Cornes (Mountain View), Elise Crane (Vacaville), Tyra Fennell (San Francisco), Gina Fromer (San Rafael), Elba Gonzalez-Mares (Napa), Genoveva Islas (Tulare), Brenda Jackson (Oakland), Mary Jo Cook (Oakland), Myrna Melgar (San Francisco), Etna Monsalve-Campos (Seaside), Pamela O’Leary (San Mateo), Rochelle Pardue-Okimoto (El Cerrito), M. Paloma Pavel (El Cerrito), Anna Pletcher (Mill Valley), Claudia Polsky (Berkeley), Christina Resasco (San Francisco), Melissa Sandgren (San Francsico), Ann Schneider (Millbrae), Margo Schueler (Berkeley), Zephanii Smith (Stockton), Helen Wolter (Mountain View), Sabina Zafar (San Ramon)

Emerge California is part of a national network currently working in 14 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Vermont, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
