It is an extended arm of Independent Artists' Week, an official week long celebration of independent artists and the businesses and organizations that serve them.

Since July 1, Gallery 1307 has showcased over 80 emerging, seasoned, elderly and youth artists. Gallery owners Melonie and Melorra Green are experienced art programmers, curators and producers with a passion for what art can bring to a community and for the enrichment of young people.
