OUTLET: TV - Bay Area Vista on ION-TV and CreaTV

Janice Edwards is an award winning talk show host and producer, media coach, published author and an acclaimed contributor to community empowerment through her media work. She is the host and executive producer of “Bay Area Vista” airing on ION-TV Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 6:00am in both the Bay Area and Sacramento on CreaTV Sundays at 3:30pm. “Bay Area Vista” is produced through her production company Edwards Unlimited. The show features community leaders, celebrities, non-profit organizations and issues of interest. Janice is also host and co-executive producer of the show that she named, “Signature Silicon Valley”, which airs Tuesdays at 7:00pm on CreaTV’s Silicon Valley Channel.

Recent recognition includes 2013 Trailblazer Award from 100 Black Women of San Francisco, 2013 HomeTown Media Best Informational Talk Show Award to "Signature Silicon Valley," 2011 CreaTiVe Best Series Producer award presented by Steve “The Woz” Wozniak and Joe O’Kane, 2010 Emmy nomination, 2011 and 2010 nominations for Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, 2010 NAACP W.E. Dubois Award, 2010 Community Service Award from the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority of Silicon Valley, a 2010 Nomination for Woman Entreprenuer of the Year, and the American Heart Association’s 2009 Western Regional Communications Award.

For eight years, Janice served as Community Relations Director and Executive Producer & Host of “Bay Area Vista” at NBC BAY AREA, where she launched the show. “Bay Area Vista” received the American Women in Radio and Television’s 2007 Kudo award for best public affairs show and Janice also received a Kudo; she was voted best host of a non-news Program by AWRT. [more]
