Fashion world insider André Leon Talley reveals his favorite San Francisco spots.

“If there is one other city I’d live in, it’s San Francisco,” declares André Leon Talley, a longtime New Yorker who spent the month of February here preparing for Oscar de la Renta: The Retrospective. “I do not care for the hills or the trolley cars, yet I love this city.” Here, the Vogue icon shares his favorite local spots.

The Fairmont “I love the lobby of the Fairmont, which is so elegant and grand that you think you’re in the 1920s. In particular, it has two of the most extraordinary, ornate Regency mirrors. They’re marvelous.”

Ozumo “This beautiful Japanese restaurant has a great interior. There’s an intimate section toward the back with long, dark oak tables. I love the atmosphere—it’s almost like a club.”
