The East Bay continues to sizzle as restauranteurs Mark Jones and Ramonn Smith open a new and different version of 44. Jones and Smith sold their 2800 sq ft Hercules location, 44 Sports Lounge, last June without a new location identified. The new Berkeley location, almost 4000 sq ft, came to their attention and now they’re back in business. This time around, Jones and Smith have taken a new direction, departing from the sports bar format to a new refined bar, lounge and restaurant. The emphasis is on great food (guaranteed by the presence of well known Executive Chef Kenneth Wynn) and a comfortable yet sophisticated environment.

Oakland Native Chef and Caterer Kenneth Wynn has prepared a variety of creative comfort “fare” to audiences throughout the Bay Area. Cooking at home since age 8 and stepping onto a line at 17, he has maintained a love for cooking and serving soul stirring fare to the greater San Francisco Bay Area since 2001.

Soft Opening: Friday, March 14, 2014
(Doors Open at 4pm)
44 Restaurant & Bar
3290 Adeline
Berkeley, CA 94703
